Crip Space Building

This project transforms regular units into accessible crip community spaces for the disabled community, enabling individuals with disabilities to host related activities and increase their income, thereby achieving a sustainable career. The space is rooted in crip culture, fostering a sense of pride within the disabled community. Through arts and cultural activities, the space welcomes public participation, enhancing awareness of disability issues.

Crip Space Building

We are relocating c.95d8 from Sai Kung to a more accessible location so that crip friends with different body/mind conditions can all come visit! 🌿

In addition to 10 invited crip artists contributing to the crip space design, we are now openly recruiting 20 crip artists who are committed to developing their careers in arts and culture. These artists will receive free training in workshop planning and independently host one public, ticketed event at c.95d8 crip space without paying venue rent. We hope c.95d8 can become a platform that brings together crip artists and crip/disability culture, while expanding sustainable income for art practitioners.

Important Dates:

  • Training Workshop Dates: One weekend in October and November each month (2025)
  • Self-organized Public Workshop Dates: Late 2025 to early 2026

Additionally, the project includes participatory design and art training workshops. We are recruiting volunteers who are interested in design, art, crip culture, or community building to co-create with us. Volunteers will receive a stipend (transportation allowance) to support their participation.

  • Volunteer Co-design Dates: One weekend in June, July, September, October, and November each month (2025)

This project is funded by Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
