What is the happiest part of playing Mahjong? Besides yelling "Self-Draw" (Zi Mo), it has to be bursting out nonsense Mahjong golden quotes with your poker-faced tiles buddies! A phrase like "Yee-Ah! Missed an East Tile!" might represent the heartbreak of losing a hand, but it can also be the perfect spark for artistic inspiration.
Starting from Siu Bo's personal experience, we are not just playing Mahjong this time—we are channeling the dynamic energy of the game into visual design.
Led by typography designer Siu Bo (Lo Yiu Fai), we will kick off with a 45-minute live Mahjong session to hunt for inspiration mid-game. Afterward, Siu Bo will personally demonstrate three distinct typography design methods. Finally, every participant will hands-on design their very own Mahjong golden quote.
🙋♂️ Who should join?
- Anyone who loves playing Mahjong.
- Friends who are interested in art and design.
